One World, One Language
Another surprising group was the Esperanto Association. Although it originated long before the 1970s, it experienced a resurgence in popularity during this period, likely influenced by the World Peace Movement. Their objective was to promote a new universal language designed to facilitate worldwide communication and promote international understanding. Although they continue to exist today, the movement experienced a large decline in momentum. Nevertheless, it remains impressive and astonishing that such a group came into existence. Their pursuit of peace, particularly during a time marked by political turmoil such as the Cold War and the Vietnam War, is commendable.
